Sphynx Adoption
Sphynx adoption is much cheaper than purchasing a pet from a breeder, but a rescue cannot provide you with a pedigree and a picture of the foundation stock.
In 1966, a domestic cat gave birth to a hairless kitten in Toronto, Canada. It was discovered to be a natural mutation and the cat, as we know it today, came into existence. This cat and a few other naturally hairless cats have been found worldwide.

The breeding program began in 1966 in Ontario, Canada and they are developed from a hairless mutant.
