The breed received championship status by The Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) in 1978. Nowadays, they are popular companions that come in two types – with folded ears and with normal ears. An adopted cat is likely to make a great companion.

Scottish Fold Rescue -
cattery, breeders
These cats were first seen on a farm near Coupar Angus in the Tayside Region of Scotland in 1961.
