Savannah cats are hard to obtain as a kitten.
Cats of this breed are lean, with long neck and legs. The head should be small in proportion to the body, with large ears and eyes. The coat has a spotted pattern with chocolate or golden markings on the golden or tawny background.

This new breed originated in the early 1980’s as a cross of the domestic cat (usually Siamese)with the African serval. The first standard appeared in 1990 and the breed was registered as experimental. The name of the breed refers to the habitat of the cats’ ancestors. Savannah cats are hard to obtain as a kitten.
