The American Bobtail originated in the 1960's quite inadvertently. This breed is a short-tailed cat with a thick, semi-long coat. This cat's personality is said to be similar to a dog's. They enjoy interacting with their family and are playful, yet docile. This breed is domestic, but its physical characteristics give it a wild appearance.
