This breed appeared as unexpected result of an experiment. The aim of the experiment was to produce an Aby-point Siamese. But instead of Siamese, ivory kittens with golden spots appeared. The breed was named so because of its resemblance to ocelot. Ocicat cats and kittens should be bought only from reputable catteries.
