A mixed breed cat is any cat that has more than one breed in its blood. Mixed breed cats make up more than 99% of the worlds total cat population. Mixed breeds do have certain advantages over purebreds. Purebred cats, or dogs for that matter, are more prone to genetic problems. If you adopt a mix breed you have the benefit of more than one breed in the same animal.
