Exact origin for longhair felines are unknown, however, it is believed they were conveyed from to Europe from Asia circa 16th century. Their wild ancestors are short coat; hirsute is a recessive trait. Selective breeding has developed a variety of breeds today. Longhaired cats often have many breeders pictures available.
