Except such unusual ears, these cats are quite ordinary – they are medium-sized, rectangular and come in any color, pattern and coat length. The breed is often described as dog-like due to its devotion to the whole family, curiosity and alertness.

Cats of this breed are born with ordinary ears, but by the age of 16 weeks the ears of some animals curl back and form an arc of 90-180 degrees. It is a genetic mutation and not every cat born from a show quality animal has such ears. A kitten from show cats will not necessarily have curl ears, as many catteries report.
