British Shorthair Cats
British shorthair cats can be adopted from many rescues, but it's difficult to find purebred kittens there.
These are very nice and intelligent animals that make excellent pets and companions, as they are people oriented and very playful. These animals are playful all their life. Favorite games of the animals are fetch, catch and even “discus,” in which the animal uses its hand-like paw to pick up and toss a small object.

The coat of the breed is soft and silky and very short that lies close to the body and is incredibly soft to the touch, prompting comparisons to cut velvet, karakul lamb, rabbit fur or silk.
